This position includes the responsibility:
- to lead the total EMEA coordination to ensure smooth product introductions (NPI), -changes and –phase outs (extension of the NPO function);
- ofmaterial vendor management and commercial contracts (direct product related materials, e.g. turnkey vendors) with a value of approx €10M within the Supply Chain division and €60M overall (added responsibility since 2005);
- to set the EMEA configuration strategy and overseeing the configuration management (added responsibility since 2006);
- for the EMEA Localisation support (which includes providing guidance to product management teams (added responsibility since 2007);
- directly responsible for a team of 10 people (a number based locally in Amsterdam and a number based in EEE Paris).
10/2003 – 09/2004 Interim: Manager New Product Operations (NPO).
This interim position was in addition to the Contract Managers role and was focussed to setup a new to develop department which manages product introductions within the Operations division. After this was successful implemented for the consumer product range it was rolled out over all product ranges.
07/2002 – 09/2004 Contract Manager (Trade).
- Managing of the Trade section (direct product related) within the Procurement & Contracting (P&C) EMEA department;
- Managing the personnel (training and development, performance reviews, etc);
- Ensure professional supplier management;
07/2001 – 07/2002 Buyer Trade & Non-Trade goods and services.
- Purchasing of parts of direct goods (Trade related) in the role of senior buyer;
- Professionalize the whole buying process within the organization;
- Setting-up, maintaining and monitoring of commercial contracts with suppliers (Marketing, Logistics and Operations), and setup professional supplier management.
Additional:
2008 – present Project manager for analysing the European procurement status (total value €450M) and recommending / advising the Board of Directors next steps how to improve. This project is directly reporting to the VP Corporate Office.
07/2007 – 03/2008 European Project Coordinator for the successful implementation of an European Quality Management System, following the ISO9001 standard. This project was reporting into the senior management Support Office.
05/2004 – 08/2005 Setup, implement and roll out a Supply Chain Management training course for marketing Product Managers (across EMEA).
01/2006 – 12/2006 Overseeing all Operations division cost down initiatives and securing achievements.

- Managing the Category Management and Procurement Department and its personnel (4 Category Managers and 2 Buyers);

- Develop and implement Instore Marketing actions to improve sales or sell-outs;

- Design floor plans for maintained assortment per store;
- Analyzing the sales, margins, stock and promotions and anticipate on it daily.
10-1998 – 05/1999 Assistant Store Department Manager Hardware.
- Managing the Hardware Department (Electronics, Multimedia, Leisure, Garden, Season, Books, Toy’s,Food, Hardware & Fashion);
- Training and managing (new) employees (around 15 FTE’s and 30 PTE’s);
