Aug 2000 to Apr 2001 Cable & Wireless creating Global Optical Fibre Team. Contract extended.
• Conduct Strategic review and report on existing Fibre/ Capacity contracts and processes.
• Created new procurement framework for dark fibre, wavelength and capacity. Delivered savings of 40%, subsequently rolled out to the globe. Planned annual saving £25 Million p.a.
• Executed due diligence review of $1.5Bn VOIP contract.

Oct 1997 to Apr 2000 Electricity, managing cables portfolio. Contract extended.
• Chaired Cable and Overhead Line Sourcing Groups. New contracts reduced cables budget from £37 Million p.a. to £12 Million p.a. at same supply rate. Saving over 8 year contract £200 Million.
• Established new service supply procedures and processes for cable logistics direct to site reduced cable stocks 85%, created remote ordering process to reduce process time and admin.
• Introduced use of e-procurement to catalogue purchasing.

1991 – 1997 Chief Buyer.
Managed central strategic procurement team and leveraged procurement potential for maximum returns.
• Created and managed strategic procurement team. Saved over £15 Million a year.
• Reduced the approved supplier base from over 2500 suppliers to 800 and stock by 30%.
• Integrated IT contracts for 186 operational sites enabling the board to outsource the IT function.
• Introduced EDI for electricity supply to 10,000 supply points.
