2006 - Present Central Purchasing Manager Raw Materials. Key Responsibilities / Achievements:
• Management of three key raw materials portfolios Titanium Dioxide (value €100 million), Epoxy Resins (value €35 million) and Pigments (value €20 million) to ensure the efficient supply of these materials at the lowest total cost. Team management of the Biocides, Hardeners and Other Resins portfolios worth a further €50 million.
• Portfolio of more than 850 raw materials supplied by < 175 suppliers
• Negotiating and contracting with a worldwide supplier base.
• In close cooperation with the R&D departments from Business Units, searching for creative value-added opportunities for performance improvement and or cost reductions.
• Achieved savings: €7.5 million.

2004 – 2006 Senior Lead Buyer Raw Materials.
Key Responsibilities / Achievements:
• Management of three raw material portfolios Fillers and Extenders and Functional Pigments (total value € 75 million) to ensure the efficient supply of these materials at the lowest total cost.
• Portfolio of more than 600 raw materials supplied by < 200 suppliers
• Led the tender process of fillers and extenders in for core countries in Eastern Europe. This to leverage buying power as well as improvement of the standardization of raw materials used.
• Appointed as the interface (still current today) between Group Purchasing Department and the R&D / Marketing Department.
• Intensive projects completed that successfully reduced the number of raw materials. The higher volumes were then leveraged to reduce prices.
• Led the 3 year project on enlarging payment terms on European level for all suppliers of raw materials and packaging.
• Achieved savings: €4.5 million.

1999 - 2003 Purchasing Manager.
Key Responsibilities / Achievements:
• Tendered out all transport activities related to finished goods distribution in the Benelux on 24/48 hours basis and Europe.
• Specified, selected and concluded contracts with suppliers in the core countries for several delegated product groups (raw materials & packaging).
• Took over the commercial purchasing activities of Goods for Resale in the Benelux.
• Total Lease Car Administration / replacement cars for 250 cars.
• Achieved yearly savings of €1.5 million.

1997 - 1999 Supervisor Purchasing Administration / Purchase Manager.
Key Responsibilities / Achievements:
• First opportunity to develop man-management skills, managed 4 people.
• Day-to-day management of the European procurement & administration department from Sigma Coatings including problem solving.
• Informed, supported and then deputised for several Purchasing Managers.
• Prepared and executed purchasing plans.
• Specified, selected and concluded contracts with suppliers in coordination with end-users.
• Monitored supplier performance and took corrective action when needed.
