april 2001 onwards Purchasing Manager.
The company is a worldwide supplier of manufacturing systems for all display and component factories of the BG Display Components.
As Purchasing Manager I am responsible:
- For the implementation of the,( together “produced” with the Management), purchasing policy and the translation into a Purchasing Action-plan together with Development Department facilitated by Purchasing.
- For the Purchasing department (12 employees). Supporting and coaching and enabling the purchasers.

1996 till April 2001 Senior Buyer.
This company develops, produces and sells advanced component placement equipment (Surface Mounting Equipment). This equipment places chips and other components on printed circuit boards very quickly and accurately.
During 1996 I have worked as a Relation-manager with a Japanese Account. Responsible for approx. 30 Million Euro. From 1997 till April 2001 I have worked as Senior Buyer for all the equipment the company develops itself. This implies mecha-tronical modules and systems at a very high integration level with a total annual volume of 40 million Euro.

1994 till 1996 head of Purchasing/Logistics.
In the last few years this machine factory mainly operated as a main supplier for large environmental projects.
Responsibilities:
-Purchasing/outsourcing (about 50% of turnover)
-Logistic fields: stock control, incoming goods control and internal transport
-Manager of 8 people (3 purchasing employees and 5 logistic employees)
-Purchasing volume: strongly fluctuating (projects) but between 10 and 15 million Euro on average
Achievements:
-Maturing the Purchasing Policy and Department.

1993 till 1994 Manager Purchasing and Logistics.
I worked as Manager Purchasing and Logistics for an internationally operating trading company that is specialized as a supplier for the technical industry. Together with the sales manager I formed the commercial management team.
Achievements:
-Implementing a new commercial (Sales and Purchasing) policy being part of the Commercial Management Team.

1989 till 1993 office manager.
During this period I worked as an office manager (purchasing/logistics) for a contract filler.
This contract filler / lemonade factory strongly positioned itself in the filling section, mainly for internationally operating breweries. These breweries outsourced their complete canned beer demand (about 700.000 hectoliters) to this contract filler.
- Purchasing volume: about 20 million Euro (including investments)
- Responsibilities:
* Purchasing (Bill Of Material (BOM) and non-BOM including investments)
* Planning
* Stock control
* Transport of incoming goods.
Achievements:
- Set up and implement a “new activity” (together with the export-manager) to a profitably core activity.
- Maturing the Purchasing Policy and Department.

From 1985 till 1989 assistant buyer.
During this period I worked as an assistant buyer (later initial buyer) for a professional high-tech organization that develops, produces and sells ‘wafer-steppers’. These machines are used in the chip industry. Within this organization my three colleague initial buyers and myself were responsible for the total purchasing package. My specific products groups were the optical products and standard products.
Total purchasing volume then was about 50 million Euro.
Achievements:
- Starting as a procurer and finally act as an initial buyer
- Successfully graduated for NEVI I and NEVI II diploma

1984 till 1985 marketing/sales employee.
I worked in the graphic industry.
Achievement:
- Custom-friendly focused successful salesman

1980 till 1984
During this period I worked for a very small trade-company for fastening and fixed material as a “flexible employee”. My main responsibilities were sales and purchasing. This first job was my first “business” experience.
Achievements:
- Set up and implementing a “new business” to a mature and profitable business.
