Manufacturer of Adhesives and Sealants for industrial applications.
Responsible for the Purchasing Strategy and its execution for both Adhesive- and Sealant plant. I negotiate with EU, US, Asiatic and Japanese Suppliers to get the best prices and secure delivery by making volume contracts for strategic raw materials. Furthermore we are continuous looking for alternative raw materials and alternative systems in order to create a competitive advantage. Besides this I am also responsible to optimize the demand chain planning, to make and maintain ISO procedures concerning Purchasing, to make the Vendor Evaluation and quality improvement plans. The purchasing budget for Raw materials, Packaging and Trading Products is approximately € 20 million. In my current position I am leading 1,5 FTE in our purchase department.

Manufacturer of UV curable coatings for the production of Optical Fibres.
Responsible for the procurement of raw materials, packaging and filters for the production of UV curable coatings. In cooperation with my US colleague I was responsible for the Purchasing strategy and its execution.
Key Performance Indicators were the quality of the raw materials and delivery performance /security of supply. Concerning the quality we made global specification agreements for all raw materials with our vendors. We also discussed on regular basis the consistency of their products (via SPC data) and how they could improve the quality of the products. We also did Quality audits on a regular basis. Concerning the security of supply, we were always looking at vendors with multiple production locations or alternate sources for our raw materials. In this position I was leading 1,5 FTE in the purchase department.
The purchasing budget was approximately € 50 million.
