• Recently completed finalization and closeout of purchase orders and preparing for completion and closeout of subcontracts on the project.
2006 - 2007 Project Procurement Advisor.
Responsible for direct supervision and audit of the EPC contractor’s purchase of long lead equipment and MRO material as well as subcontracting for services to be executed at site for the Cogeneration Power Plant.
• Cogeneration Power Plant project - Control and review EPC contractors’ activities and verify that company policies and procedures are maintained. Obtained approx. 5% saving on $US 200 M.
2005 - 2006 Procurement Services Advisor.
Responsible for purchasing engineered equipment for Polyethylene Plants.
• Procurement Services Advisor transactions performed in SAP.
• Purchased capital equipment for refineries and chemical plants such as high-pressure pumps and extruders, loading arms, heat exchangers, packaging lines for Polyethylene lines.
2002 - 2005 Procurement Services Advisor.
Responsible for developing and maintaining services contracts for
Polyethylene Plants.
• Procurement Services Advisor transactions performed in SAP.
• Renewal of Civil & Tank Maintenance integrated contracts for 5 years (annual spend of 1.6 MEUR).
• Cleaning & catalyst replacement (annual spend 2 MEUR) with a 10% cost reduction initiative for catalyst replacement.
• Mechanical Unit rate and hourly rate contracts, for mechanical works (annual spend 2 MEUR). Also spot P.O.’s for similar high value activities outside SLA.
• Managed to persuade clients to change contractors, and move away from known single source supplier to a competitively bid scope
2000 - 2002 Procurement Services Advisor.
Responsible for purchasing chemicals, catalysts, fuel additives and packaging materials.
• Procurement Services Advisor transactions performed in SAP.
• Purchased fuel additives, catalyst recovery and packaging material for Polyethylene plants.
• Materials were usually purchased through outline agreements and position required continuous contacts with suppliers, in many countries.
• Due to limited storage facilities at the refinery and legal restrictions, on time deliveries were required to maintain a good working relationship with suppliers.

1992 - 1998 Director (Own Business)
Developed and operated own business, with a second branch.
• Supplying equipment, chemicals, and spare parts to various clients in South East Asia, predominantly in the oil & gas sector, power generation, and marine engineering.
• Company closed down as a result of operating problems in South East Asia, and the Asian crisis.
• Gained significant experience performing all activities from sales, buying, shipping, invoicing and preparing tax declaration, helped develop strength to solve complex problems.

1986 - 1990 Buyer, Ministry.
Purchased mechanical components and spare parts.

TEMPORARY CONTRACTS, INTERIM, CONTRACTS SECONDED TO:

1998 - 2000 Project Buyer.
Worked for a joint venture of two EPC contractors and purchased equipment and materials for a pharmaceutical plant.
Under continuous review of client Procurement Manager, all package units were purchased.

1992 Procurement Manager.
Established a procurement department for a family run business in Reverse Osmosis Filtering technologies.

1991 - 1992 Project Buyer.
Worked on a Heat Recovery contract.

1990 - 1991 Project Buyer.
Purchased equipment for two prototype “Agri jobbers” hydraulic driven multifunctional agricultural vehicles. The idea was to have one drive unit and various implements that could be attached to the tractor. The original project was cancelled after the two prototypes were built and tested.

1985 Assistant Buyer.
Buying organization for the oil industry.
I performed all kinds of duties, such as filing, helping buyers, witnessing sealed bid openings etc.
