Managing four departments (Customer Service, Planning, Procurement and Logistics) with in total + 15 employees. Responsible for strategic procurement and continuous improvement of the supply chain, including stock levels, cost prices, sourcing and early supplier involvement in R&D. Optimizing the production planning and improving service levels towards customers and production facility in the USA. MT member. Annual spend approx. € 45MM.

February 2004 – June 2006 Manager Purchasing & Logistics.
Managing two departments with + 25 employees. Responsible for strategic procurement and logistics within hospital and research. Changing it into a pro-active and professional support function, including restructuring processes and procedures (EC-tendering). Responsible for tendering and purchasing main renovation contracts and increasing procurement involvement from 40% to 70% of the annual spend of € 75MM. Budget responsible, member of BU-MT.

January 2001 – January 2004 Procurement & Contracting Manager.
Managing the procurement and contracting process for the EMEA region, with direct responsibility of + 10 employees and indirect + 30 employees at the EMEA sales offices. Restructuring and implementing the P&C process for EMEA into a center-led, decentral organization. Responsible for cross-EMEA tendering and contracting and reporting to Japan. Annual spend of approx. € 300MM and reporting to the VP-Operations.

May 1995 – January 2001 Procurement Manager.
Managing the project procurement department of SPC with + 12 employees and responsible for procurement and contracting strategies, EC-procedures and all related activities. Projects completed include e.g. new (5th) runway, extension and renovation of B, D and E-piers, fully automated baggage system, runway renovation and tunneling, Zuidtangent public transport infrastructure and project manager HSL-Zuid support. Annual spend approx. € 250MM.

September 1990 – May 1995 Project Buyer & Contractor.
Responsible for the purchasing and (sub)contracting of various projects, worldwide. Originator of project procurement and subcontracting plans as well as the respective terms and conditions. Responsible for coordination with expediting, shipping, inspection and quality departments. Projects for e.g. DSM, Shell, Chiyoda (Japan / Qatar), PCK (Germany) and RSO (Switzerland, including 3 months period on construction site)
