Retail in fasteners and special tools for the milling and machining industry. Sales, purchasing and administration.

2001 Thesis (Study: Business Administration): “Moving up the demand chain”
Thesis: research on how the company could play a ‘new role’ of System Supplier in the future. My thesis results in a strategic roadmap and a model of different forms of cooperation with their OEM key customer.

1999 Thesis (Study: Mechanical Engineering): Product development of a new concept of an “In Container Sterilization System”
Thesis: development of a new “In Container Sterilization System” concept. The goal was to develop a new machine concept that was more flexible (easier to switch production, variable capacity production and able to handle more products), thereby the system should not have increased variable costs. The result was a new machine concept that is now introduced in a specific segment of the market.

1997 Internship (Study: Mechanical Engineering) Research of Information needs to make analysis of suppliers at a purchasing department.
This research dealt with the classification of (mechanical) articles and suppliers to make suppliers-analysis with the ERP system SAP R/2. The purpose was to realize better and faster decision making of which articles to outsource at the best suitable supplier. The result was a detailed classification of suppliers and mechanical articles.
