Global Purchaser
Ervaring
2006 – 2007 Global Purchaser
As a direct report to the Global Purchasing Director for Indirect Spend categories I am responsible for all logistics and ICT related spend and purchases worldwide. In total this represent more than € 200 million spend annually. From a centrally orientated procurement organization, I advise the local affiliate companies in the purchases on ICT and logistics related items and services. Together with the corporate ICT department and the corporate Warehousing & Distribution department, we nominate preferred suppliers and monitor their performances. This is associated with about 30% of travel. For this purpose the Procurement office is based at Schiphol Airport and results in a very convenient and co-operative environment. In this role I have the end responsibility for all spend in the respective portfolios and I am authorized to sign contracts and close deals with the suppliers. This is more a strategic/tactic role than an operational role. Recent achievements are 30-40% cost reductions on mobile telecom contracts in 5 different countries. And overall payment term improvement from 28 days to 62 days over the total spend.

• Doing this I am not only buyer, but also project manager and/or group leader.
• Next to that I purchase Vouchers, SIM cards, insurance’s, logistical services and communication activities. Having activities in sourcing, tendering, purchasing and contracting.
• During the international period (when Telfort was part of the mmO2 group) I was the leading project manager of the tender project team (6 persons). In this Tender project we were looking for a Global logistics and repair solution. We had many project meetings in Amsterdam, London and Munich.
• During the past period I started many tenders, improvement processes and change-processes. This resulted in an average saving of 35%.
• During the last 3 month I participate in 2 major projects were I am fully responsible for the purchase and logistics for the roll out of Telfort Shops and the redesign of Inventory Management within Telfort.
