Benchmarking of the purchasing organisation with about 10 other international operating companies under the auspices of Juran Institute.
Purchasing Services department (formerly named Procurement) knew some drastic reoganisations. Due to decentralisation of all procurement activities to the Business Units the role of the central procurement department changed drastic. Therefore it became nessesairy to adapt the management system to this new role. This adaption led to a total new set up of the management system. At once this job was part-time, as of 1996 it became a full-time job.

Buying of piping materials for the turnaround of one of the nafta-crackers
(specification, selection, contracting / ordering, logistics, evaluation and payment)

1992 – 1995 Secretaris Procurementboard
Draw up and implement a vendor selection system within all of DSM Limburg;
Manage and maintain all the procedures and systems therefore needed (f.i. to put up a vendorslist);
Take care of the office of the DSM Procurementboard (= the decisionmaking board of the central procurement organisation, in witch all Business Units were represented)

1989 – 1992 Chef Binnendienst Contracting
Give lead to the procurement-assistants;
Responsible for the correct administrative processing of all contracting orders of DSM site Geleen (using several automatized systems, especilally SAP).

Responsible for the financial and human resources policy.
Through automatizing getting an optimalisation of the administration and the sales-planning;
Annual financial closing of the books;
Reduce the turnover in personnel by drawing up better conditions for the personnel and by revalueing the rewarding of the jobs.

1985 – 1988 Medewerker inkoopbinnendienst
operational buying of general materials and services;
after being settled in: assistant-to “Chef inkoopbinnendienst”;
spread and monitor the works among 15 employees;
as being the representative of the end-users: implement the SAP-buying module.

write up and also automatize the financial administration

Atheneum A, H.E.A.O.- BE, incl. optional subject CE, NEVI 1 and 2, Sevaral training regarding to automation (o.a. SAP, Dbase, most MS-Office products, also internet en intranet knowlegde), Quality (f.i. auditor-training) and also management (communication, assesments).
